Why Cynthia?

Through her various educational experiences, Cynthia knows how various systems, such as business, education, and medical systems work. She is able to bridge these systems to create synergy and collaboration. Some of Cynthia’s success stories:
  • Cynthia has knack for prospecting, recruiting, and retaining volunteers. Over an eight year period, she prospected, recruited, trained and retained 125 adults to work with preschool children ages 0-5 at New Creation Fellowship Church, as well as recruiting an additional 75 adults to work with elementary children and teens.
  • In a collegial setting, Cynthia’s role is to place college students in medical sites. Cynthia bridges her medical expertise with educational needs of students through understanding and collaboration of both medical and educational entities.
  • In Rochester Women’s Network, a women’s organization, Cynthia is instrumental in recruiting other women for service in various committees. Because of her ability to create trusting relationships with others, she has been able to raise substantial funds as well as strengthening the organization through woman power!
  • Through Cynthia’s leadership, The Rochester Society of Radiologic Technologists continues to serve its members through providing professional development activities. Cynthia streamlined duties to simplify job descriptions to encourage board activity. She continues to provide guest speakers from various professions and venues which increase interest and vitality to the group.
  • Cynthia led a Career Navigator Group through Rochester Works! She regularly attends a Women in Transition Small Interest Group to assist others in job search. In present place of employment, Bryant & Stratton College, Cynthia is involved with workforce development strategies.
  • Her doctoral dissertation achieved cooperation from 2710 diverse faculty members from three Rochester area colleges to participate in a questionnaire on the topic of civic engagement.
